Congrats to the 2024 Black Women Photographers and Nikon Grant Fund Recipients
In July 2020, Black Women Photographers was launched with a $14,500 COVID-19 relief fund to help members who were in dire need of financial relief due to the pandemic. To date, BWP has provided over $185,000 in financial grants to Black creatives worldwide. Join us in celebrating our next class of recipients for the annual BWP and Nikon Inc. Grant Fund.

How Polly Irungu Created Space For Black Women Photographers — And Got Them Hired
It all started with a Twitter list and a love for photography. Polly Irungu, a 28-year-old photographer and photo editor, had noticed a need for community among other Black women trying to find their way in the industry. And she wanted to get them hired.
