Black Women Photographers: We’re Launching a Podcast Network!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new podcast network celebrating and amplifying the voices of Black creatives! This groundbreaking initiative will showcase Black women's stories, experiences, and journeys in photography and beyond.

The network kicks off with the highly anticipated podcast, "Photographer Life Check", hosted by none other than the talented Qurissy!

📸 About Qurissy: Qurissy is a creative force for creatives, currently based in Los Angeles, California. Known for her rich and authentic storytelling, she has made a name for herself documenting music artists, writers, and image-makers. Her work exudes texture, deep tones, and a sense of familiarity, encouraging her subjects to become their own storytellers.

In 2023, Qurissy was awarded a prestigious residency at both The Getty Center and the Black Image Center, solidifying her reputation as a standout artist. She also brings her expertise to Gumbo Media, art directing projects like zines, cover art, and brand development. As a proud member of Black Women Photographers since 2021 and host of the annual Black Women Photographers Summit (#BWPSummit), Qurissy is a powerful voice in the creative community.
