Tax Tips for Artists Workshop

Did you receive an artist grant in 2022? Not sure what expenses to deduct? Anxiety around money and taxes are serious setbacks for any artists working toward financial stability and independence.

Join our free Tax Tips for Artists Workshop on Monday, February 20th, at 11am EST. Hosted by Black Women Photographers, this discussion led by Krystal Boney instructs artists on how to properly claim expenses on their taxes and how to account for artwork sales, honorarium, and more. In addition to sharing her insights on best tax practices, Krystal will also be able to address questions pertinent to individualized circumstances.

Presenter Biography: Krystal Boney is an artist, accountant, and Michigan native. She began her career in Detroit, MI at KPMG as an auditor for retail and software industries. Her career has led her to work with several private and Fortune 500 companies in advisory and auditing positions. She is the founder of Bean Knights, an accounting firm that specializes in tax and strategy for creatives and non-profit communities. She is an Enrolled Agent and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
